Internationally renowned Rambert School is excited to be returning to live performance as part of  The Picnic this summer with an exciting array of choreography demonstrating why they represent the very best in the next generation of global dance talent.

This family friendly programme offers an insight into dance with the chance to watch an improvisation session to live music and performances by the rising stars of ballet and contemporary dance.

  • Daily class is a vital part of each day for dancers in full-time training. Watch the Rambert School students warm-up as they prepare for performance.
  • A rare opportunity to watch a live improvisation session with musical accompaniment  as the dancers use everything they have ever learned to create unique in-the-moment dance material. 
  • Performance designed for a younger audience or the inner dancer in us all… Meeting Mr Boom! tells the story of a girl’s exciting journey into a magical world.
  • Original choreography created and presented by students at Rambert School to showcase their talent, creativity and versatility.
  • Q&A ‘Nurturing the next generation of dance maker’ with choreographer and Deputy Principal of Rambert School Darren Ellis (who has previously worked with the likes of Richard Alston, Random Dance and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures).


    An evening of exceptional talent, virtuosity and creativity, the programme features a blend of classical ballet and contemporary dance works and exciting original choreography created and performed by Rambert School students.
