Please allow plenty of time for your journey as Norfolk is very busy at present and your session time is limited to the hours you have booked.
There is a 20mph speed limit through the park, the road will be used by cyclists and pedestrians too.
Holkham is two miles west of Wells-next-the-Sea on the main A149, within easy reach of Norwich on the A1067, King’s Lynn on the A148, and London and Cambridge from the M11 and the A10.
Please avoid a very long walk (1 hour plus) by arriving directly at the Temple itself. Our map shows where this for you.
All parking for The Picnic is at The Temple. Please see our map for location.
Taxis should also take you to the Temple to avoid a very long walk.

Food and Drink
We do not allow your own food or drink to be brought to the event, with the exception of that for infants (those aged 3 and under)
If you have booked a pergola then chairs are provided. Picnic style seating means that you are sitting on the floor but you are welcome to bring your own chairs if you prefer.
Whatever The Weather!
We all know we can’t control the weather. But we can prepare for it!
We offer covered seating and provide rain ponchos, but please do come prepared – we’re all used to a good old British summer!
Rain won’t stop play… we are monitoring any weather warnings and should they move up the scale we will of course keep you updated with any changes in situation reports.

Frequently Asked Questions
This event will follow any guidelines released from the Government surrounding Covid-19. We will only offer a refund on the event ticket price paid if there is a cancellation due to new Government Guidelines which do not permit the event to go ahead. No refunds are offered if you are unable to attend for any other reason. Our spaces are socially distanced and table service will be offered for food and drink. Pergola Or Picnic Seating?
We have two ticket options to choose from, either a pergola or picnic seating. If you choose a pergola you will receive your very own VIP seating area which comes with your own table, chairs and roof for that little extra cover. The picnic seating is a little more traditional. You will be seated on pillows and other comforts as your enjoy your graze box and the entertainment.
Food and Drink
No food or drink can be brought into the event. Our boutique caravan bar will serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages but we ask for any alcoholic drinks purchased on site to be consumed before you leave. We operate a Challenge 25 policy – if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for ID upon delivery of an order containing alcohol. Alcohol will only be served to those aged 18 or over so please bring ID.
HOLKHAM HALL ESTATE
Your ticket will give you access to this event within the grounds of Holkham Hall, valid only for the day of entry. Tickets will be checked upon arrival into Holkham Hall Grounds and upon arrival to the event, so please have them to hand. On certain dates you can purchase a tour inside the house, please check their opening times and admission costs available on their site https://www.holkham.co.uk. We also recommend a visit to the nearby beach!
There will be free parking available on site when you arrive through the main entrance.
All children’s tickets include a children’s hamper designed for those aged 4-12. Please note that the content of some evening shows are not suitable for children and therefore no children’s tickets are available for these specific timings. Children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket, but please be aware that no food is supplied for this age group.
Toilets will be located on-site. Please make sure you maintain your distance from other customers. Hand sanitiser stations will be positioned outside the toilets (and inside) so please sanitise hands both before and after entering. The toilets are regularly cleaned and inspected. Accessible toilets are also available.
We have multiple sessions each day. Your ticket gains you entry for that timing and performance only, please be aware you can not stay beyond the end of your session. Time has been allocated for us to clean and arrange space between each session.
Our event follows the current guidelines for social distancing. If any governmental rules and regulations mean that we are unable to run the event, you will be offered a refund or an exchange. This will not include any ticketing fee for booking the event.
This is an outdoor event with wheelchair access. Please take into account ground conditions on wet days since we are located on parkland.
Canine companions are very welcome but must be kept on leads at all times due to the resident wildlife. Please clean up after your dog and remain considerate of those around you. We ask that the weather conditions are taken into account so that dogs are kept hydrated and in shade on hot, sunny days.
This is an outdoor event so please be prepared for British weather and bring coats and blankets, umbrellas etc for rain. In the event of cancellation due to a severe weather warning you will be able to exchange your ticket for another day.
